Why it exists

The challenges are there.
What's needed is the chance to tackle them together.

Non-profit organisations face complex needs every day, often with limited resources and little time to experiment. TechGarage creates common working ground between those who know a challenge and those who have the ideas, tools and skills to build a response. The programme keeps the need grounded in reality while opening up the space needed to imagine alternatives.

How it works

From challenge
to field test.

01 Challenge collection

  1. 01

    Challenge collection

We select the organisations and work with them to pin down a concrete operational need. The people involved, the constraints and the desired change become a clear challenge, open to outside contributions.

  2. 02

    Call for Solutions

We look for teams and innovators interested in working on the selected challenges. The call makes clear the context, the useful skills and the conditions under which a proposal will be tested.

  3. 03

    Hackathon

Skills come together, hypotheses are built and the most promising solutions take shape. Working directly with the organisations avoids generic answers and quickly leads to a first tangible model.

  4. 04

    Matchmaking and mentoring

Organisations and teams are supported in moving from a proposal to a feasible pilot. Goals, responsibilities, resources and indicators are made concrete before the test.

  5. 05

    Demo Day

Prototypes, lessons and prospects are presented publicly and shared with the community. The finale does not just celebrate a result: it clarifies what can continue, with which alliances and under what conditions.

What it produces

Not just ideas.
Verifiable relationships.
